Fisher to LT?

@AdamSchefter: Chiefs HC Andy Reid said he plans to go to camp this summer with former No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher playing left tackle.

Sorry if Q

They just said on 610 that Fisher has put on 5 lbs of "good weight". I would imagine that he's been in the gym for about 6 weeks after recovering from his surgeries.

He's 1/3 of the way there. By training camp I expect him to have around 12-15 lbs of good muscle on him.

4 months after the season ends and were supposed to cheer him putting on 5 pounds of muscle?

Haha ok.

That's not impressive at all, tbh.

No shit. A regular Joe can do that in 3-4 weeks - maybe less.

Chiefs tackle Eric Fisher glad to return to left side
(highlights)
Quote:
“I met with Coach (Andy) Reid a few weeks ago and he just told me 'Hey, this is what's going to happen,' ” Fisher said. “Obviously, I was pretty excited about it because deep down inside, I think I'm truly a left tackle.”

Over the course of the season, Fisher suffered at least five injuries — to his knee, shoulder, groin, back and a concussion — and Reid revealed Monday that the former No. 1 overall pick also underwent surgery on his left shoulder and had sports hernia surgery this offseason.
Quote:
“He's doing all of his lower-body work and rehabbing the shoulder, doing what he can,” Reid said. “Good progress is being made.”

In fact, after playing last year between 295 and 300 pounds — which is fairly light for a lineman who is listed at 6 feet 8 — Fisher says he's now in the low 300s, which Reid is pleased with.

That doesn't even mention his hand injury preseason.

I think most of those buried probably had something to do with compensating for other injuries.

Unless he does a complete 180, he might be in the running for the worst #1 pick in the history of the modern draft.

That's not saying he can't turn things around, but so far he was an awful player that is becoming injury prone.

Even with said surgeries, there's really no reason he can't put on 10 pound if muscle by mid July

If he stays on this trajectory (and doesn't improve as my post suggested) he would be the worst first overall pick of the last 25 years.

Right or wrong?

If you think I'm wrong, start naming names of worse first overall picks.

That's impossible unless he's juicing. The body can't pack on 12-15 lbs of pure muscle in 7 months, especially for someone already that big.

I'm pretty sure 2lbs of muscle per month is reasonable unless he's already close to maxed out which I don't think is the case.
