Yes, but you guys are posting as if those people have somehow been proven wrong when they haven't. You don't know what the hangup is, so pointing to Smith is premature, at best.

You know what? **** it. Dorsey should say, "Your client needs to prove his worth to our team for more than just a year. We'll see how he does against a murderer's row schedule, then get back to you. Until then, consider the contract negotiations canceled. We'll call you in 6-8 months or so."

And if Alex doesn't produce all the Chiefs want to see before they hand out $100 million contracts, they should continue to tell Condon to go **** himself with a chainsaw. Slap the tag on that bitch. Make him play TWO years to prove he's worth the money.

If Alex looks great, then show him the money. Hell, make him the highest paid QB in the NFL if he shows the goods. I've got no problems with that.

We just don't want to pay that money to a shitty unspectacular 49er Alex Smith or an Alex Smith who can't generate a first down in a playoff game when his team needs him the most. If that's what he truly is, and he shows that's what he is over those two years, and Condon still won't budge, then it's time to let the Alex Smith dream die.

Reid successfully expanded A. Smith over course of '13. Became more willing to pull trigger. Id want full year of that before paying big $.

As good as his first half was against indy, his second have was not good. He got the team like 3 points in the second half. Im pretty sure the TD was on a pick 6.

You cant pay the guy big money based on half a season and half a play off game.
