I really don't understand having Westbrook play 46 minutes when they were up so much. Yes, he was on fire, but it is a 7 game series.

They kept it just close enough to keep the Thunder's starters in there. Just enough to keep them scared. I doubt fatigue will be a huge factor for the Thunder but I'm sure the Spurs are happy to have them rack up huge minutes at the end here.

Yes, Pop sent a message to the starters by not putting them in after the back ups narrowed it to 12 points.

Thoroughly embarrassing game from the starters. That effort was ****ing garbage. They didn't go hard to the basket. They were lazy on their passes and spacing. They weren't aggressive on defense (though that was really due to refs initial bullshit).
I'm glad Pop didn't put them back in the game after the reserves narrowed it. They didn't deserve the chance to come back in and try to close it even more. |

It's amazing how he gets his players every year to buy into his system and play as consistently hard as they do throughout the season. You don't really see it with any other team in the league.

Same goes for Phil's other championship dynasty in LA. Kobe + Shaq were a team to watch rape. If "beautiful basketball" is simply a not-shittily coached team, then there are numerous examples of beautiful basketball. Just because Popovich isn't Mike Brown doesn't mean you have to suck their dicks. Give them credit because they're a great team, not because they play "beautiful basketball." That shit is ****ing dumb. |

Beautiful basketball isn't my term but I certainly understand what it means when it comes to the Spurs offensive system when they are playing at a high level. |

No, it's not the fact that they're well coached that makes the Spurs awesome to watch. It's the style they play when they're on. It's the passing, the spacing, the movement (both on and off ball), the effort, the efficiency, the execution, etc. Outside of watching LeBron James when he tries (a guy who could very well be the greatest basketball player ever), there isn't any brand of the sport I like to watch more.

I feel hope just because Brooks is using his younger players more. Something I've been asking for all ****ing season.
Also, because we have the refs in our pocket and KC Connection and Paul George will make beautiful crying ****ish babies. |

You still think this series is over? I'd probably even go so far as to say OKC are the favorites again to take this.
