It's no worse than people who suck off an offensive line so constantly.

A QB can never be measured by a mediocre offensive line according to some around here. Until you surround him with the 2003 Chiefs line, the QB needs a chance.

The 2003 Chiefs offensive line isn't happening to us. Ever again. So get used to it and hope that Alex Smith is good enough to work with the guys he's got.

NYG - Eli Manning + good pass rush + good OL = Super Bowl.

NYG - Eli Manning + meh pass rush + poor OL = no playoffs and Eli looks like Cassel.

Anyone over the age of 25 should realize the importance of an OL.

I'm not saying it's not important. I'm saying it's an obsession with some posters around here.

We've brought in enough guards to notice no decline in the position from last year to this year. Stephenson will be a better RT than Fisher.

If Eric Fisher is worth two sacks of squirrel shit, our OL will be improved from last year

You're wrong about the Guards for starters. Sure the Chiefs brought in bodies, but if they suck, they'll just add to the problem. Fisher needs to be a better LT than Albert / Stephenson was last year, or are you calling their play "squirrel shit.?" Allen is terrible, and won't be bailed out as much this season. You're discounting how important continuity is on an OL - the Chiefs are going with a majority of folks at new positions this season. The whole left side of the line is scary. Far too many things have to work out perfectly in order for the line to be as "good" as last year much less be improved over last year. You're missing the boat with your opinion on this one.

I hear ya, but I'd settle for a 2013 Chiefs O-line at this point. The 2014 version could be one the worst Chiefs O-line ever. If it's that bad, it would be Kryptonite to even the likes of Brady, Manning, Rogers & Brees...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Doesn't really matter who/where.

Under Dorsey we lost significantly more talent than we gain this offseason.

A GM's job is to add talent and unless all these scrubs/backups surprise people Dorsey gets a bad grade for this offseason. imo.

HORRIBLE grade.

We lost starters to free agency.

He did not use free agency to plug any loss of starter or previous area of weakness.

The draft did not plug any hole or loss of starter...

Shouldn't a GM have some grip to use/play with? Yeah, you can hypothesize about removing Smith from the equation and the resulting cap-space, but the man was told to get Reid the QB he wanted.

Not that I approve of getting Reid the QB the wanted.

getting Smith was last year, we are talking about this year

We lost 6 starters and gain 1 in FA

as far as i know, none of our draft picks are even favored to start

terrible offseason

big kudos to Reid if he can be successful this year with less talent and a harder schedule

Who should we have replaced? And with who?

The important question is why?

It is salary cap cleaning?
Is is 'wait until Peyton Manning dies?
Is is GM incompetence?

I'm not even bringing up rebuilding because that isn't a viable reason. If we are rebuilding then we should have traded for more draft picks etc.

We didn't lose significant talent man. Albert is the only player that you could make that case for.

It looks like it's careful financing that Dorsey is implementing. This money is going to go to Berry, Poe, Smith and Houston in the next 2 years.
Why do you want to use it all on free agents and lose these guys?
