You might be right. Once they fall behind 2-0 on Monday, I think it's important that they just insert the dagger and go up 3 games to nil.

The non-call on goalie interference is a tough one for the Rangers to swallow, I get that. It probably should have been called. Again, destiny.

Same for the noncall for slashing in game 7 OT - but, whatever, Hawks had a lead and their own chances. Don't leave it in the official's hands and take care of business so a call or noncall isn't the hinged source of a win hanging in the balance.

Over The course of a best of 7 - especially when it actually goes 7 games, the calls typically even out.

I think there could be many more late-round match ups between the Kings and Hawks to come.

The Kings have all their key players under contract for a long time to come, and do a great job of developing young ones (Toffoli, Pearson, M. Jones to name a few.)

If they sign Gaborik (or even if they don't), I don't see why the Kings can't continue to make deep runs for years to come.

Agreed. Player movement being the unknown variable, but it definitely is shaping up to be an annual event- which is a win win for the NHL and fans of good hockey.
