I'm very aware of the health detriments of regular peanut butter due to the hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils. Quote:
So I just scooped under and let it drip off a spoon instead. Over time as the jar had less in it, I may have stirred it a little bit as it can get dry and hard. 'Cause when the jar is new, it gets all over the place. So, I just never fussed over it. So I'm with you there. It can be a pain. Gonna try the gizmo mentioned earlier tho. I love kitchen gadgets....even if I am out of room. Quote:

I do use that brand, and that kind of peanut butter when I make my peanut butter blossoms at Christmas time.It just mixes better. I figure if people are eating all the fat, sweets and booze at that time what's some hydrogenated peanut butter added. Hell! It's only once a year. Gotta choose your poison.

America's Test Kitchen did a taste test of creamy peanut butter. Traditional Skippy won, with Natural Jif in second. Standard Jif was fourth. Reece's was third. |

I remember when we were kids, (4 of us) and my Mom would bring home the groceries, (which wasn't often) we would fight like dogs and cats for the Virgin Jar of Unopened Peanut Butter.
