True, but 'brutal' - the term you disputed - is not a medical term. You're not estimating the amount of damage she suffered or diagnosing her injuries, you're making a judgment on him, and whether or not he used excessive force. By saying the attack wasn't brutal, you're saying he controlled himself, or he was relatively level-headed, or something, which baffles me.

Also, just because other people have been more brutal in the past, doesn't make this animal any less so.

I would disagree. IMO the "brutalitly" is independent of the perpetrator, and it is based on what happens to the victim and the outcome.
