Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Any good compact 45 recommendations?
I've been looking at getting a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II possibly My main wants are small, reliable, 45 caliber, and a good safety. I already have 2 glocks and they are good for what they are but not good to carry IMO Last edited by TribalElder; 09-01-2014 at 04:21 PM.. |

You have to take them off the clips. It would be a lot easier if they didn't load them on clips to begin with. |

I wonder if those clips can be used with any other cartridges? Probably not...

Most feed problems with a 1911 come from wore out bad mags, feed ramps that need polishing, or older barrels that have not been opened up for hollow points, wad cutters ect. None of these should be an issue with a Kimber |

I'm not impressed with Kimber, not for their prices. I had a friend who had one and it was constantly rusting up, even though he religiously cleaned it. I shot the thing once and it kicked like a freaking donkey. Plus, he had other issues with it (after spending money on upgrade mods) that he should not have had to deal with for the $ he spent on it. He ended up selling it and buying the XD for carrying and he freaking loves that compact CC XD, it shoots just as well as the Kimber (kick wise) with no additional headaches. The best thing about the kimber is people will pay big $ for them so he ended up selling the Kimber for what he paid for it.
