Interesting. You say you aren't a rebel in one sentence and then follow it with a couple where you obviously view your lack of action as a form of rebellion.

I'm not doing it for the sake of rebellion. Nothing I said contradicted that notion. Some kids might say "I'm not going to stand for the pledge because I want to piss everybody off". That would be textbook rebellion. For me, it's more "let's get this crap over with so I can go back to getting through the morning". My intention in high school wasn't to piss off every double digit-IQ'ed jock. It was to mind my own business and quietly protest a 30 second tradition that I happen to respectfully disagree with.
