and they keep hitting homeruns. What is going to happen is one of the opposing teams players is going to get plunked and they (the other team) will be highly pissed off and want to fight.

My wife roots for the Royals because I do. She really has no choice. But the last two nights she's been watching and she says repeatedly how much fun they are to watch with their handshakes, dancing, laughing, and hustle. They're intense and oh, yeah, play damned good baseball too.

Don't change a thing. If the rest of the league doesn't like it, they can turn off the TV when we're winning in October.

Pretty much everybody in the league does that stuff now. Every time someone hits a double, they look at the dugout and celebrate their greatness in some sort of gyrating fashion. I really don't think that's why they're getting hit.

I'd much rather have a team loose, having fun, and actually like each other....than a bunch of stiffs.

Baseball is a game......it's not going to an office job or church.

2. If we're going to do the "Billy Butler nickname for Morales" thing, it should be Third World Country Breakfast.
This team is made up of a bunch of 20 - 30 year old kids, they are just enjoying themselves. I recall another team that used Do WA Diddy as their teams celebration song ever time they won a game .

We are still talking bout a bunch of big kids having fun..

I love watching them. The code of the game is a joke, but you aren't going to convince me that other teams aren't pissed off about the constant top-stepping and Gatorade baths after every home win.

The Cardinals are probably the only team that take themselves seriously enough to actually be bothered by this.

Maybe the Yankees back in the day would have, too. But I don't think most teams give a shit.

well, run differential is a very common stat that people list right after the standings. When teams are tied, people often use run differential to list the order if they don't want to use alphabetical order.

I can't explain Atlanta, though. Listing Atlanta second pretty much shows that they picked their order based on how good they think the teams "should" have been.

I've been pretty shocked by Morales so far. Not much data yet but that big goon is having great ABs and he's hitting it hard to all fields. If he stays healthy and produces even close to week 1, it changes our entire season.

I'm pleasantly surprised but not shocked. You could make a reasonable case that his disastrous 2014 was due to the weird circumstances around the start of the season.

Probably time for Royals fans to just give the team the benefit of the doubt when it makes a "bounceback" signing like this, considering recent history.
