Harrison of NFL.com ranks his top 10 QB's of '15 and Alex....
You can read the full list and see video here
Here's a small excerpt Competition was fierce at the 10-spot, coming down to Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco and Matthew Stafford. If we were talking overall careers, Manning would be the choice. Flacco presents an interesting argument, because he tends to light it up in nationally televised games. At the same time, there's no question he's been inconsistent since winning Super Bowl XLVII. Stafford's inaccuracy in key spots has driven Lions fans crazy. Newton's calling card has never included on-the-mark throws, but his overall game can be a nightmare for defenses. Ryan, meanwhile, has been the most consistent, and was ultimately the toughest to leave off. So why Smith? |

What is it that you are expecting Alex to do more of on 2015 that he hasn't done in the past?

So when is that? This year? Next year? When is it finally his fault that this team can't get over the hurdle?

So you are here to tell me that the 49ers were a shit team and the Chiefs roster is full of garbage? You are ****ing dumb.
A ****ing rookie took the 49ers to a SB but they weren't good enough for Alex Smith. Alex inherited a roster with the most probowlers in the league but they aren't good enough. |

The guy is trash. All the fame and money and he still has to accost women in bathroom bars. Loser. I can't root for that, and wouldn't want him leading my team. I know for many, off field issues don't matter - it's how they play on the field, and that's fine. But for me, I don't even consider him for that reason alone.

If the OL is decent to good, and somehow he underperforms week to week? Not even I will give him support.

He's been with us for 3 years. The first year he had no receivers but a solid line. The 2nd year he had no receivers, no line. This year he has both. So therefore, this season he will prove everyone wrong or everyone right. He's not a great QB, he never will be. But in football there are Great QBs like Rogers, Manning, Brees and Brady. Then there are solid QBs that need the right pieces around them to be successful. Smith is the latter. He has his pieces now. There are no more excuses. So he proves the naysayers wrong, or he proves them right. There is no in-between. That's what I was saying. There is no love or hate for him on my end. If he can't do it this year, he needs to go. This is his last serenade. |

So if this line thats been so called "improved" because they traded for Grubbs and lost their top 5 C and replaced him with a draftee who is "flexible" falters, how long before you are making the excuse that he doesn't have a line? Or how long before the nearly entire rookie WR corp besides Maclin and a garbage Avant doesn't play up to expectations are you back making the excuse that he doesn't have WRs?

The HC lost his job over it too. Kaep failed miserably... and ironically... because he failed in a way that Smith would not have. Was awesome. Poetic justice FTW.

Smith doesn't make it to the SB. There is not a chance in hell that Smith comes back to beat the Packers, because that was done with Kaepernicks legs.

If you consider Alex's time here having a decent supporting cast then you are doing a great troll job.
How often has a team lost in the playoffs when the offense scores 44 points? How many QB's had success with bottom 5 quality at the OL and WR positions?
