I love Jeeps but the Grand Cherokee has been a victim of its own popularity. The new ones, even for a Laredo 4x4, are like $35,000, and with nice things inside are closer to $40 grr.

The Cherokee, which is smaller, is not nearly as nice. They make a Patriot, which is a piece of crap, and a Liberty, which is kind of like a Subaru Forrester.

If I wanted a Jeep GC, I would have had to bought one 3 or 4 years old, with probably 30,000 miles or more, would have paid about the same, around $30,000, and the bank loan would have been around 5 or 6 percent, because it's used. I got 1.49% for 48 months on the Subaru, although I had to put $5000 down (cash and trade) to get a manageable monthly car payment for four years.

Needless to say, I'm very motivated at work today to sell stuff. Gots bills to pay, man.

They have not made the liberty in a few years. It was just replaced by the new Cherokee which I agree is fugly as hell.

30k would have gotten you a Wrangler Unlimited Sport. But if you are happy with your unshaved-vagina-mobile that is OK.
