Report: Tom Brady destroyed his phone. Appeal has been denied.

Nope.....he did nothing wrong.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/...eld/ar-AAdBouH

The NFL is going to reject Tom Brady’s appeal and uphold the four-game suspension he is facing for his alleged role in Deflategate, according to one report.

Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning that a source told him Roger Goodell will not reduce or overturn Brady’s suspension. Perhaps more shocking, Smith cited a separate source who told him Brady actually destroyed his own personal cell phone rather than just refusing to turn it over.

We have known all along that the bigger issue here is Brady’s lack of cooperation during the Ted Wells investigation. The NFL was furious that Brady wouldn’t give up “relevant” text messages and emails that might help clarify his level of involvement — or lack thereof — in Patriots equipment managers allegedly letting air out of game balls.

Smith clarified that he was told by one source that the NFL is going stand by its four-game suspension within the next 24-48 hours, whereas the information about Brady destroying his cell phone was just “something I heard.” It was almost as if he was downplaying the information knowing how much of a bombshell the rumor was.

Reports in recent weeks have been all over the place regarding Brady’s appeal. There has been some indication that the two sides are working toward a settlement, though reports like this one make that seem unlikely.

If the NFL upholds the suspension, no one would be stunned. If someone can prove that Brady destroyed his cell phone, that would be tough for the New England Patriots quarterback to explain.

Kraft accepted the penalties because he wanted Brady to be exonerated, and he figured his puppet would see it as a sign of 'good faith.'

He's outraged like a parent who spoils their child. His child was caught red handed (Brady), he tried to throw his money at the problem to make it go away (accepting the penalties), and now he's outraged that his child has to pay a price for his actions.

That's it.

Brady is guilty. He cheated. THE ****ING BALL BOY CALLED HIMSELF THE DEFLATOR, COMMONLY CHIDED BRADY VIA TEXT TO THE EQUIPMENT MANAGER, MADE COMMENTS LIKE 'THE BALL IS GONNA BE A ****ING BRICK NEXT WEEK', ETC...

and these Patriots fans are STILL trying to claim he's innocent?

I have no idea if he will (or can) challenge them now.

My understanding, however, is that it is nearly impossible for a club to challenge the commissioner's ruling. The NFL bylaws or whatever give all power to him to mete out punishments for any alleged violations. I'm not sure what the basis of any "appeal" would even be.
So when Kraft says that he regrets accepting the NFL's penalty, what does he mean? What does he regret?

True, then they realized all the power they gave up in exchange for that money. Now they want the courts to help them get back some of the power without have to bargain or exchange money for it.

with as screwed up as the courts are they might just get it too

he regrets that he wasn't able to throw a bunch of money at a situation to make it go away for his kid (Brady)

that's all it is

It's a total slap in the face to anyone with a lick of common sense. It's hilarious.

All footballs are found to be 1 pound below the minimum threshold of pressure.

Texts are found to be made between two Patriots employees where one guy openly calls himself "the deflator". Here is a quick sample:

Quote:
McNally: Tom sucks...im going make that next ball a f----- balloon
Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and
said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done...
Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though...
Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs f----- us...a few of then (sic) were at almost 16
Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them
McNally: F--- tom ...16 is nothing...wait till next sunday
Jastremski: Omg! Spaz
Bob Kraft then accepts the league discipline of losing 1st and 4th round picks and $1M in fines.

Tom Brady is then suspended 4 games.

Tom Brady then appeals.

It is then found out that Tom Brady destroyed his phone THE DAY HE WAS INTERVIEWED BY TED WELLS.

Suspension is upheld.

YES. CLEARLY TOM BRADY IS INNOCENT.

FAULTY SCIENCE!

You know you're screwed when a guy who buttered his bread on taking contrarian stances to hype himself as a brand can't come up with a single defense of NE as a means to postulate and shred the NFL and/or Goddell.

Damn, son!

anyone that has followed this and read the "deflator" texts and watched Kraft accept the penalties (begrudgingly!) and then read that Tom Brady destroyed his phone on the very same day he was questioned by Wells ...

and then wants to tell me Tom Brady and the Patriots are totally innocent!

IS A ****ING MORON

The NFLPA alleges that “Brady testified that it anyone had told him he could be suspended for declining to produce the private communications, he would have produced them — notwithstanding the advice of his agents-lawyers.”

- Brady changes his testimony more frequently than the Browns change QB's. What happened to the bad precedent it would set?

Honestly, I think his statement is a PR move as much as anything else. Many Patriots fans are of course unhappy with the punishment, and him accepting it. His apology may just be to placate the job base.
