Five trades that should happen on ESPN. Scheffer mentioned this one:

I think it's worth it for some team with a stable organization to take a shot at him. I don't think KC is that place because they need a stable QB, not a project.

Geno Smith, I get. Every scout saw his rotten attitude from a mile away. RGIII on the other hand... dude tested off the charts in character. He's been surrounded by crazy dysfunction his entire NFL career. Some team will look to how Pittsburgh's handled post-30 Roethlisberger and think maybe a similar approach will do RGIII some good.

RG3 isn't a high character guy. He just knew when it was in his best interest to play one.

You may be right. I just think a guy picked that high probably had every high school janitor interviewed to check on his character. I'd like to hope there's still a good guy inside there.

But also consider how much he's been through the past few years. His coach jeopardizes his career in year 1. He shows good leadership his rookie year but his teammates bag on him and tell him he's not "black enough." Owner goes above the coach's head to coddle RGIII to the point of firing Shanahan. New coach comes in, decides he's not going to put up with RGIII's shit. Makes it his mission to make RGIII's life miserable while his owner is still coddling him.

It will take really good coaching to unwire that shit from his head. But it can be done. If any team is going to make a play for him, I think it should be the Steelers. The late career Big Ben rewiring is exactly the kind of thing RGIII needs.
