It is bakers chocolate or cocoa powder that is used. It is not sweet chocolate at all. |

Tell Me About Your Chili

Actually, I like mole. But if you call it mole and give me salsa verde, I'm not likely to think highly of it as a mole. The biggest disservice to Cincinnati-style chili is calling it chili. |

It's actually good drunk munchies when you put it on a hot dog with cheddar cheese on top (coney) and when mixed with bean dip (skyline dip_. |

Yep, they also use a little ground cinnamon. Takes some getting used to, though. Steak and Shake does the same but without the cinnamon. I'm a fan of Steak and Shake's chili 5 ways, but the Gold Star chili and Skyline Chili never did it for me.

So does Steak and Shake. The Cincinnati Chili has to have cinnamon in it. I first tried it years and years ago (Gold Star Chili and Skyline Chili) and I thought it was the nastiest crap I had ever eaten....took a while, but I actually acquired a taste for the nastiness..
