Your favorite play in football.

I gotta say that my favorite play is the sack, especially from a defensive tackle.

The idea of having the athleticism, power, and technique to beat a super athletic 330 lbs lineman to get to a quarterback soon enough to prevent a pass by overpowering him and throwing him to the ground just seems like an impossible task. Especially from the interior of the line. Even moreso when the quarterback is athletic or built like a tank.

I still contend that the best sack I've ever seen, from any player, ever, was Derrick Johnson's sublime "rodeo sack" of Roethlisberger back when the Chiefs upset the Steelers at Arrowhead in 2009. I've lost the YouTube to it -- I'll rep anybody who can dig it up. But it was truly a work of freaking art.

What's your favorite type of play on the football field?

Statue of Liberty Play. Still works (since no one looks for it anymore) and I use it at least once a year in youth football as homage to the old school.

Sadly, it's probably a well executed screen pass.

The timing and team effort involved is a joy to watch in its own right but the impact it has on opposing defenses gives it the edge, especially when it's audibled to.

Defenses love pinning their ears back and when they get that chance only to have it blow up on them like ****ing Wile E. Coyote....there's just something intensely satisfying about it. It was better still when Holmes was out there because he wasn't just flying by guys, he was picking and popping his way through holes. It was damn near an art form.

It's as 'chiefs' an answer as they come, but when you can catch a defense in a blitz and then get those blockers kicking ass, the combination of winning both on a strategic and execution level is my favorite.

I can almost guarantee that you've never seen a double reverse. They are very nearly non-existant. (Nit picking on the terminology)

Your favorite play in football.

The Bomb

Have to admit that there was nothing better to see aesthetically than Daryle Lamonica throwing a bomb to Warren Wells back in the day.

Hated the Raiders but man could Lamonica let it rip.

Probably stuffing a run on 4th and short. It's just so deflating to the other team.

I love the defense shooting in and blowing up a run play in the backfield. Definitely love sacks as well but RBs are more elusive and to just see them get blown up after barely getting a handoff fires me up.

On offense, I love a run off tackle with a FB and pulling guard out in front blowing up CBs and Safeties.

So basically I like good solid dominating hits as long as it's my team making them.
