We ran into this topic late Saturday night in another thread.

I personally don't like Cam at all. He's got a ton of talent, but is an absolute idiot. He can't even learn a full playbook. Newton has put up some big numbers, but they haven't translated into a lot of wins.

He is 13-19 as a starter over 2 years.

58.9% comp | 7,920 yards pass | 40 passing TDs | 29 INTS | 1,447 rush yards | 22 rushing TDs |

Would you give up our no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

You mean his #2 Offensive line, Olsen, and his running backs aren't getting enough credit for their success. In addition to playing a soft schedule all year and his team being the healthiest in the NFL going into the playoffs. Are you implying that Cam is a different level QB than he was a year ago? And that this will actually continue for the rest of his career?

The Giants beat the Pats twice appearing to be underdogs with weaker records.
the Pats were supposed to clown Denver.

all the points the Panthers have scored will be meaningless in a week and a half.

them and the Pats somehow got lucky with the easiest schedules ever this year per this article

Baldwin and Tate combined for 1600 yards themselves. No Panthers WR duo is close to that

Of course he's a different level QB. He's peaking as a player, and that's why Greg Olsen, who's been a barely above average TE his entire career has put up the best numbers of his career. But he's probably viewed as a Tony Gonzalez type player by a dumbass like you, bob. Oh, and carolina's ol is average.

That line is top 5 and their power run as that link shows just proves how good that line is at allowing their running backs to get yards. Kalil is one of the best centers in the league.

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking to a former NFL player and local Carolina reporter. They said that Newton put in a ton of work this last offseason. They said that last year Rivera started giving him some authority to adjust plays at the LOS based on what he saw and they said that Newton got it wrong 80% of the time. He put in a lot of time watching film, etc., and this year he reversed it - making most of the adjustments correctly.

He seems to be growing as a player whether some people want to admit it or not.
