Jaye Howard's Replacement? Bullard

I've seen this guy mocked to us more than any other player out there. At first I was skeptical. Then, I saw this highlight tape. Reminds me a ton of Suh, personally. Not to say he's going to be that dominant, but just watch some of these plays.

This guy looks like a day one difference maker next to Bailey and Poe. Also, saw on a mock where he was considered a guy who really loved the game and played with a lot of passion. Those are the types that the Chiefs love.

If Dorsey can hit on one of these guys this year and they turn out like a Wilkerson/Wolfe/Jackson/Richardson type, it's the type of pick that blows the hinges off the SB window. Just think about adding a player with that type of talent to a front 7 with Houston, Poe, Bailey, DJ, and (hopefully) a consistent Ford.

Exactly and our last one was Poe, so I'd say we've gotten past that.

One success doesn't out weight like, 8 misses, but we aren't picking top 5, ao the risk of a fat body getting paid and not wanting to play isn't high.

Defensive lineman always make me leary, in that it's a pretty big jump to the nfl from a physicality standpoint l, especially in the trenches.

I understand your concerns, but this DL class is like the WR class from a couple years ago. We can get some great value at 28 there.

With the talent available I think we could be okay. Looking back, we got killed bc we had Jamel Fleming and Marcus Cooper who got raped.

I think that signing an additional vet like Casey Heyward or Jeremy Lane whike adding a CB through the deaft would be ideal

Man I just can't see how Bullard could possibly go at the end of the First. He looks like he could become an elite 3-4 pass rushing end, and those guys are extremely rare.

Lane would be an outstanding depth pickup but he just might be surprisingly expensive.

Would you be willing to give him the contract that we gave Smith 3 years ago? He might be able to get close to that. And with his injury history, it's possible that we could end up at $5 million/yr for a guy that spends half that contract in the tub.

He has the talent to excel in this system. His injury history should keep him from expecting to start somewhere so the Gaines/Lane battle would be a great one. I just worry that the injury history and the amount of money in the market may make him a pretty high risk proposition.

Hopefully people would understand the difference between drafting a 5-tech at #3 vs. back of the first round. Even still, now that we're not asking 5-techs to play the Patriots 2-gap as much, the value of a stud 5-tech is much better than it used to be.

This is very true. I'm wondering if Casey Heyward would be better? He's a bit streaky but I think he could be a decent starter.

I want us to load up at the position. Peters, Smith (or Vet FA), Gaines, Nelson and early draft pick with Parker as additional emergency insurance.
I want to be ready for any injury at all times at CB bc it's so important and we can't afford to have Bums like Cooper holding us back like this year.

With this same token, I want to add another OLB even if Tamba comes back.

None what so ever. It's just in our chief's fans mind. Kind of like Reid not realizing how big a playoff win was for the fans. Chief fans are like elephants we never forget.

We just signed his replacement about a month ago. Can't remember his name but he's a huge run stuffer coming off an injury.

Ta'amu.

Yes, very intriguing. I think he's more the NT type but that guy was a run stuffer big time his rookie year. I could see him panning out like Abdullah did, but I don't know if he's at the level of a Bullard.
