He carries the entire movie. Cavill is perfectly fine.

Since Flash can time travel I assume that sequence was meant to confirm to Batman that his fear--of a future where an evil alien rules the world--comes true, thus giving Batman more reason to want to take him down. But it was not clearly told so it just muddled the movie even further.

My thoughts on it are similar to some already expressed...
Was it as good as The Dark Knight or Winter Soldier or something along those lines? No. But I liked it. For a movie that long, it held my attention the whole time. I thought all the main actors did a good job for their roles. Luthor was different than we've known him, and that seems to be an issue for some, but Eisenberg played this incarnation well. My only real complaint is the Doomsday element. I get their purpose for him in the film, but a Superman vs. Doomsday story really calls for its own movie and didn't need attached to a separate film. |

Agreed. I think that's one of the reasons the movie is getting such bad reviews. It really isn't Superman vs Batman.. Granted they did fight but the fight didn't last long and it was surprisingly pretty one-sided. It's more Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman vs Lex Luthor/Doomsday but obviously DC is smart enough to realize that calling the movie Superman vs Batman will obviously sell more ticket and judging by the numbers of the first week, they were right. Another disappointment is that if they follow the comics we all know Superman isn't "dead," which like the comics makes the whole "Superman gets killed," blown totally out of portion. |
