Hard to say. There is general intelligence, and there is football intelligence.

Frank Gore could barely put a coherent sentence together, but was extremely sharp when it came to offensive scheme.

exactly. Nothing against Conley. I just don't know. He could be smart as it gets, but a slow learner at football, I can't say.
