Best players available after Round 1

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ning-prospects

Can't tell me we aren't going to get a good player at 37.

Now, hopefully it's Alexander or Jack..

Denver is the team that got hosed here on trade values. now if lynch develops into the franchise qb, it's worth it. right now, they overpaid, our trade with SF was pretty fair both sides

Being reeruned gets you Tyson Jackson. Smart teams figure out how to balance need with value.

Getting talent is nice but it's stupid to draft a Tight End that wouldn't see the field much unless the dumb shit OPs horror comes to life when you have no starting Left Guard or your #2 WR is ****ing Albert Wilson.

There should be a balance of need/value. It's not rocket science.

Just ask the Colts how ****ing well it worked for them when they ignored need for a WR last year that they really didn't need.

Well, they still have the rest of the draft as well. Reaching for a corner now could potentially cause you to miss out on a more talented player elsewhere and a corner of equal ability could be had later.

Smart teams have depth too

Here's the kicker. They can address needs without reaching.

Why are we discussing a Tight End in the 2nd?

Not gonna see the field much? We have 2, even 3 TEs on the field at a pretty high rate.

Wilson is not going to be our #2 WR.

So what you're saying basically is we should pass on Jack too if given the chance? Cause after the report today he seems like a much safer pick but he doesn't exactly fit a 'need' does he? Well, maybe not but you still take him because he's the best player available.

They're not taking a TE.

Guess I should follow the thread, didn't realize anyone wanted a te. I was just against the needs drafting early atuff

Yeah they should pass on Jack and you have no ****ing idea who the #2 WR is. Unless Streater or Conley make a big step up, I'd bet you it will be Wilson.

Andy will use the multiple Tight End sets less now that he has a real RT and will use them less when he has more than one good WR.

Not even do I think we're taking a TE.

I've simply been saying that if Henry is their BPA, he needs to be picked, and it could turn out to be a good pick in our offense.

The #2 wr here isn't gonna see alot of targets anyway, but they need someone other than wilson to be it

they tried wilson, he's not it.

kelce is out #2, i'm perfectly fine if we grab a slot guy rather than a physical outside guy, we need somebody who gets open and catches the ball!

Are you talking about the Colts who had a 775 yard TE (Fleener) and 395 yard TE (Dwayne Allen) in 2014 when they made the playoffs?

Good coaches know how to get the best talent on the field. Most teams have two solid tight ends. SD, Washington, Philly, Cincy, and NE are a couple of teams that have gotten not just good, but outstanding production from 2 TEs. I'm not rah rah for a TE. But I'm a huge believer in BPA in the draft unless there is an absolute "no need"
