I used to work as a bus boy in high school. It was hot as hell all the time. I would go outside and there was always some oldies AM playing. It was the first time I heard the song Escape by Rupert Holmes. That song always takes me back to hosing off a deck at 1 AM.

Quiet Riot's Metal Health reminds me of the time I first heard it while scrubbing the empty pool in my hometown with muric acid as we got it ready for the summer swim season.

Led Zepplin's Ramble On reminds me of a time I snuck into town with my fellow underage friend and went driving around with two older high school guys that I didn't know while the three of them got high and the older guy in the front passenger seat played the dashboard like bongo drums.

Led Zepplin's Bring It On Home reminds me of getting myself psyched up before a race at a swim meet.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Relax reminds me of DJing a dance party in college.

I had just landed at Balad Air Base (LSA Anaconda) for my second Iraq tour (at 0457 local) and as the C-130 taxied into the parking ramp, the pilot or maybe the co-pilot puts this on the intercom. Not a well known song, but it made me chuckle. I still think of that moment sometimes.
