Dee Ford

How about this guy? He looked good, at least in the 2nd half at least.

Dude looked bad as a pass rusher in the first half, but he heated up as the game went on.

2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB hit, 1 TFL and another pressure in the 2nd half.

Hopefully he builds off of this bc he looked like a good player out there. He bent his body and turned that edge quickly on the sack. He finished the play which is something he didn't do last year.

5 sacks in 7 games started in his career. Maybe he's not a bust?

Andy disagrees. Watch the game again. Rivers was getting the ball out quickly in the first half. I'd say a sack, a QB hit, an additional pressure and TFL is not a bad day at the office.

We were getting gashed up the middle yesterday.
We need more Chris Jones! I think he only got in about 1 in 6 snaps

No, and absolutely

But what he did display yesterday was growth, he looked much better vs the run and thats what any realistic person should be looking for... progress... sunday gave me a lot more faith in him going forward
But the thing I'm seeing is he doesn't have a counter move and the ability to get off a block.

and Marcus Peters had a rough day, but also came up with a very big pass breakup to force SD to punt late in the game.

I saw him win at least twice with an inside move yesterday.

Twice is not enough. We need to draft pass rushers next year , thats for sure.

He didn't get fooled here and ruined the play. Pressure forced Rivers to throw it in the dirt here:

And here he is holding the blocker in case Woodhead tries to bounce outside. He releases and helps make the tackle.

Ford looked a lot better than last year and a big part of that is his experience and strength. He didn't get pressure early bc as you saw in the first gif, Rivers got the ball out fast.

Beach tribe may be right. He's playing better. Maybe he'll become a consistent force as the year goes on.

Would anyone be interested in a complete Dee Ford breakdown with gif's? I have some time and can do it.

I was watching him on the 2nd run through and he looked a lot better than people saw from live footage.

Funny thing is I thought the same thing LAST year in the first 5 games. I think some of his problems was not trusting March next too him. Nothing gets a D more than when guys do not trust the guys around them and they try to do their job and the other guy's job. Hopefully time will iron this out.
