As a ref, how can you possibly make that call??

Besides all the bullshit, How, as a ref, can you make that call in a playoff game. Team is trailing by 2, going for a 2pnt conversion, and you call a holding call, something both teams have been doing all game.. if youve been calling them all game, sure call it, but you werent, and havent been. How could you not see the hold did not affect the outcome of the play? By the time the "hold" even occured which was more of harrison just deciding to flail to the ground like a little bitch, the ball was WELL out of smiths hands and going to the endzone at the point of this "hold"... So again, as a ref, how can you not look at the hold, then look at Smith and see the hold wouldve not affected the outcome of the play? Its BULL SHIT to make that call in a situation like that... And btw, this is the same crew working the superbowl.

I wish more folks felt this way. Me included, sometimes. Kinda dumb to get that worked up over something that you'll never have any control of whatsoever. Cheer as hard as you want!!

It was a hold, but as DTHOF said, it's the same treatment Hali gets every time he goes around the outside. I've seen him thrown to the ground and the zebras look the other way. Either call all holds or just get rid of that penalty.
The NFL got what it wanted, Big Ben vs. Tom Terrific, Rodgers vs. Matty Ice. Screw them. Who cares about a team from a fly-over state adjacent to other fly-over states. Even CBS Sports knows it's true:

So much anger. Calm down, sweetheart.

"There were 20 other OBVIOUS HOLDS that didn't get called," she whined. "Why only THIS call, NOW?"

You're more comfortable with the Chiefs out of the playoffs anyway.

Is this where you'll go with the "ya can't see them all" of the "ya gotta let them play" or the "Kelce doesn't get calls" excuses?
Clearly PI and the other call against Kelce was BS as well. Where were the refs looking when he got shoved?

If the deck is so stacked against the Chiefs, and you're certain that's true, the question must be asked:

Why bother rooting for them?

If it's all fixed, why do you waste your time and (I'm guessing) money on merchandise if it's allllllllll a big setup?

grabbing or tackling an opponent;
hooking, jerking, twisting, or turning him; or
pulling him to the ground.

Exception: Holding will be called if the defender’s feet are taken away from him by the offensive player’s action.

If a blocker falls on or pushes down a defender whose momentum is carrying him to the ground, Offensive Holding will not be called unless the blocker prevents the defender from rising from the ground.
If the official has not seen the entire action that sends a defender to the ground, Offensive Holding will not be called.
The hold by Fisher is text book holding. The worst part of it was that it was 100% unnecessary for Fisher to do it because of the play call. Fisher should have known that he only needed to briefly impede Harrison because it was a quick hitter. So you can blame the refs for throwing the flag, or you can blame Fisher for making a bone head play at the worst possible time. Of course, you could blame the Reid 20 minute offense at the end of a game yet again along with yet another wasted time out.

I feel Chiefs fan's pain since I watch Mack get similar treatment most games with few, if any, flags for offensive holding. Fisher did it multiple times to Irvin in the game at KC with no flags.

But there are uncalled "textbook" penalties. Look, no DPI...

Yeah I get it. Also a few like that play that KC got away with.

I also don't think Brady would have to deal with that hold being called to negate a critical play at the end of a game.

Hunt needs to get copies of the incriminating photos.

You don't know the Hints very well. #1 Even if they do get the evidence, they won't do anything with it. #2 If they did do something with it, it would be in private. If it's Hunt takes to the airwaves like a real man would, well, since #1 won't ever happen.

If Hunt does anything (if......), it'll be to talk in private to the NFL inner-circle and ask that $10M magically show up in an offshore account to distract him from what's clearly evident. And yeah, knowing the Hunt family's past history, money comes before honor. They're Texans, the people of KC are just players in their income scheme.

Just how well do you know the Hunts? How many times have you talked to Clark Hunt personally?

Totally this. I literally agree and relate on all points. At least it's getting easier for me. NFL is now mostly about fantasy and betting for me. Chiefs have made the regular season basically irrelevant and we know there's no chance they ever do shit in the playoffs so maybe I am getting closer and closer to breaking the spell after all
