Where was Hunt?

I was waiting around to see him play but they just went from West to Spiller.

West looked terrible...what happened to him? He had like 3 yards on the 4 runs I saw.

If he continues that production..he might get cut.

I was asking WhyTF are they beating Ware up AT ALL in the pre-season.

He's a freaking RB. He doesn't need reps, and he's been breaking down late in the season. I wouldn't give him a single Pre-season tote.

Being an elusive back doesn't help if you are not actually elusive.

That said....he's still not.

People haven't seen shit out of Kareem Hunt even in training camp and yet the expectation is that he not only unseats Ware for the top spot but he ends up being a significant improvement from him.

The dude probably isn't the greatest blocker (yet) and he's still getting used to NFL speed. It happens to most young RBs. Jamaal Charles didn't do shit his rookie year.

We all should take a deep breath and pump the brakes a little on Hunt. He'll get there. It might not be this year, though.

I would like to see KC make an investment in a premium prospect over the next two years if one is available. I would also like to see Reid develop a running game that is more than an afterthought.
So, I'm basically sitting here, shitting in one hand.
Never mind.

This isn't about him struggling, this is about Andy Reid's ongoing fascination with the passing game while ignoring the ground game.
Well it was Tim Grunhart who has a pretty good relationship with the Chiefs. But he did say its not unusual from a rook faced with a Andy offense. But hey you living in LA listening to local radio about the Chiefs would make me pull back to.

The issue with "Talk Radio" in most cities is that the objective is to create controversy, which in turn, makes people call in more frequently and create higher advertising rates.

It's not like Rich Eisen, who's dialed in and doesn't need to worry about ratings, or even Dan Patrick.

Stating dumb shit equals more listeners.

I think they were just letting West and Spiller battle. Hunt is Wares back up and probably his replacement eventually.

I see your point but but Eisen and Patrick aren't attending Chiefs training camp. Tim is pretty trustworthy and honest from what I have noticed about him. He is just a guy they call now and then when football ramps up to give an opinion. He wasn't knocking Hunt pretty much praised him. I think he was stating what about every rookie finds out about the NFL. Know your responsibilities and don't get the QB killed.

Change a couple names here and there and this would actually be a good post in the Patrick Mahomes thread.

Getting run with the first team today.

He's the #2 already, so I think they were just trying to figure out West vs. Spiller

Oh shut the **** up.

Mahomes is GOING to sit, but Reid is GOING to give Mahomes opportunities. And he looked pretty good.

If Hunt actually sucked dick, he'd be cut. If he looked pretty good, it'd STILL take him some time to crack through and get more carries due to the playbook and Reid's weird thing he has about never rolling with the hot hand out of the backfield. In the meantime, all we have is nothing. One ****ing catch in a preseason game. That's it.

I agree. He's too good to NOT see action this season. But everybody doesn't just want him to take Ware's job. They EXPECT it. That's asking for a lot.

I expect Hunt to see more touches in the second half of the season, which has been the time when Ware begins to breakdown a bit.

Hopefully, he'll have a big enough grasp on the playbook to help to keep Ware fresh for second half and postseason.

Two reasons I feel that way:

1. By default. Ware has never carried a huge workload going all the way back to college, and he struggled with it last year. West and Spiller are obviously never going to be the guy.

2. I am just really high on Hunt and have been for two years now. The evidence is in the DP archives.

All I'm saying is, get Hunt on all your ****ing fantasy teams towards the end of the draft
