Maybe Kearse will be neutralized if he can't dislodge his foot from Grbac's arse sfter his first sack!

I think we can hnadle Kearse just fine. What worries me is George and McNair's scrambling.

A tiger can't change his stripes...With McNair's ultra conservative "I'm scared to throw out to a WR" style, this will allow GOONTHAR to be his old conservative self...Run,Run,Run...drop 7 back and leg it way...

Nothing would make me happier to see an agressive downfield passing game. Then when the defense has softened up, BAM!!!, TRich up the middle for a 10 yard plus gain.
I can only hope. Dan |

I bet that Raye STILL can't put together a game plan. It will lack balance. It will go something like this: Pass , pass, pass, PUNT. Next posession: pass, pass, INTERCEPTION! Next posession: run, run run PUNT. Get the pattern?

Clint,
Riley will get the majority of work against Kearse. Riley will destroy him in running game, struggle with pass protection. Thats why we need Moreau as starter especially in passing downs. Kearse gets step on Riley, taking outside rush, upper body leaning a little backward with swim move, then crunch our 230lb running back puts him on his *** . Moreau then swings out catches short pass and runs for 75 to house. Stranger things have happened. |

KCTx,
Give Jimmy Raye some credit. He has seen the way to stop a dominant defensive player. It has been on HBO a 100 times. It goes like this. Hall returns from injury returns opening kick off for touchdown. Titans go three and out. Raye decides to open up the offense by running two tight end two back offense with one WO. Grbac fakes hand off, Derrick Alexander is only receiver in pattern on post pattern. He is tripled covered, Kearse kills Grbac. RAYE THEN GOES TO THE WATERBOY STRATEGY. We will then begin to take a knee of every down and then punt. Raye after the game states I knew it would work, our defense has a better chance of scoring than the offense. We played the game to our strenghts. |

KC Jones, perhaps you're right, but I hope not. I certainly hope we don't get pass happy, just for the sake of passing. Simpl speaking, we need a balanced, but innovative attack directed at exploiting the weaknesses of a defense. The only problem with Jimmy Raye's offense is INCONSISTANCY.
1. He's nnconsistant at creating a viable balanced attacking game plan. 2. He's inconsistant at creating, recognizing and taking advantage of the mismatch. 3. He's inconsistant at making an opponents defense adapt to our offense. 4. He's inconsistant in the effective utilization of personnel. IMHO, It seems he has absolutely no offensive philosophy combined with very little faith in what he's doing. |

I think the Chiefs would be a much more dangerous team in the air than on the ground. I am not much of a Grbac supporter, but I'd love to give him more of a chance to prove me wrong.
