Trick or Treaters

Are you ready for the little humans tonight? What's your set-up?

I have all my candy divided and organized as to type in different bowls. I'm pretty anal about how I organize candy by brands.

I will select each candy to match who is at my door. There has to be some automated way of dealing with this, so you can still read or watch TV. Any ideas for that?

I am already snitching bits and pieces. Hope I don't run out.

My parents used to throw a big neighborhood Halloween party, but now they only do one for the Fourth of July. It was always a fun time.

The oldest I have had so far have been ages 15 and 16 'cuz I asked.

Also, two asked if they could come back at the end of the night and collect all the leftovers. I told them sure!

I'm not giving out candy this year. The wife is out of town and the animals are a pain when people come to the door. One cat wants to run out and the dog just barks too much.

Lock 'em both up. Put dog in a closet far in the back.

21 one years ago we bought an acreage and built a house way out in the country. For 21 years we've turned on all the outside lights and for 21 years I will now turn them off never having a kid come up to the door.

In reflection this is the only thing I miss about living in the city.

Zero. Not one goddamn trick or treater.

Granted, I didn't get home until 6:30, but still, you'd think I would have at least gotten a couple.

Two bags of friggin candy, straight to my gut and the wife's ass.

I'm striking out as well. Children appear to be frightened to approach an old house where a bald man is hovering in front of the window looking out at them.

The smart kids find the neighborhoods that have the smallest average distance between front doors. If any kid shows up at your door out in the country, you can safely conclude that they're not very bright.
