Life Trick or Treaters - Page 10

Are you ready for the little humans tonight? What's your set-up?

I have all my candy divided and organized as to type in different bowls. I'm pretty anal about how I organize candy by brands.

I will select each candy to match who is at my door. There has to be some automated way of dealing with this, so you can still read or watch TV. Any ideas for that?

I am already snitching bits and pieces. Hope I don't run out.

But srsly, I think trick or treating is a thing that's pretty much dead in more metro areas.

The inlaws live shortly out of city limits and they don't get any kids and don't even bother anymore. We're a half-hour out and this street is packed with kids and they were coming in groups of 10+ for candy.

No trick or treaters, but in a town of 1200 and a trunk or treat down the block, it's little surprise.

However, the little bastards have no trouble finding me to sell me shit.

We had one group of 4 kids with their mom. When my kids were young we had tons of trick or treaters. It's really slowed down over the past few years. I don't know why we even bother anymore.

There was a light rain on and off and I only had 11 kids show up. All but one was being driving around by their parents door to door. The one that sucked it up and was on foot got rewarded for dealing with a little rain. He got half my candy stock.

I'm 54 years old and when I was around 10-14 and trick or treated, I needed a pillowcase to carry all the candy and a few years had to stop at home, empty it out and go back for more.

If kids had the energy they could probably rack up a lot. I also suspect that people today go out to avoid staying at home to give away candy. Probably people don't want their kids having so much sweets so not as much T or T participants.
