I don't understand why Fulton hasn't beaten out Morse for the starting job. He's just average as a G, but I think he's a pretty good C that seems to be able to stay on the field. I'm not sure he's $7M good, though.

He's NOT $7M good, but he did play Center better than Morse this past year - no question about it.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yes - but that doesn't justify paying him THAT much.

Who will back up at center now? It will be important because Morse is the Watkins of centers-"you touch him he breaks"

Reid will try it out with some other back up guard.

Probably Witzmann

According to OverTheCap, the top 11 centers in the league make more than $7 million per year. So really, is it that much? The Faiders gave Hudson $8.5 million per year 4 years ago. The top paid center is getting more than $10 million per year.

Oh - I know. And he does play in a phone booth well. I just have a hard time paying the guy that much who is limited. BUT IF KC is going to make him their starting Center - which I would not mind them doing - I could see it. Morse is not one to be counted on.

Yeah. Morse is disappointing. He really shined his rookie year. But he has been hurt so much that I know we can't count on him. We have to have a capable backup.

Reid is committed to Morse at center.

Morse is soft. This line needs to grow some balls and drop dead weight like Morse.

I'm still curious to see what we do on the OL. It's a huge weakness IMO. Our left guard spot is crap, Morse is injury prone and really has no backup, and our depth at tackle is questionable.

It's gonna be the same line..except maybe a guard drafted to start..there's a ton of money and picks invested in it.
