Good move for them. He's the same guy as cousins for half the price.

This is actually the best case scenario...career back-up has one decent season, gets over-paid, stunts the rebuild of a rival.

We've seen this before...Matt Cassel.

Elway is going to get fired...his inability to admit they are in rebuild mode after a 5-11 season is priceless.

My Thoughts exactly Matt Cassel Lite

I disagree with that. I think if I were ranking them I'd rank Cousins like 14th and Keenum well like 27th.

That's bullshit. for the last 2.5 seasons they haven't had a QB or oline. When that happens to the Chiefs...the WRs go whole seasons without catching a touchdown. Literally setting the records for ineptitude since the acceptance of the forward pass.

I am not really dogging the WR for the Vikes. I am dogging this Mike Zimmer love. He's hasn't been on a staff that won a Super Bowl for 22 years. Hasn't won a championship of any kind except a division title here and there. Got into the NFCCG on a fluke play and got boned for his troubles.

Yeah. And the Donks gave $70 million over 5 years to Thomas. Post Manningstein Thomas hasn't been worth that. I would be willing to bet that Watkins has better production over the next 3 years than Thomas will have over any 3 years of Thomas's deal. Thomas's numbers have gone down 4 years in a row. Boy. That was a good signing. Give me Watkins at $16 million) year over Thomas at $14 million any day of the week.

Watkins is only 24 and on a 3 year deal, with most of guaranteed money tied up in first 2 years. If he 'hits' here, Chiefs have an unstoppable offense that no defense will be able to match up with.

If he gets injured and becomes a liability, Chiefs simply cut him in 2 years with basically no cap liability. It's a risk worth taking.

Gotta bet big to win big.

No they won't. They will try to trade down IMHO and get more picks and attempt to shore up their o-line.

That sounds good to me. There is a lot better chance of ElFraud not drafting a bust at 5. If he trades down, then it becomes more of a crapshoot. And we all know how well he drafts. Lol

Absolutely.

Off-topic, I heard Denver signed Case Keenum, btw.

Don't know why I felt compelled to mention that here...
