We can not shoot ourselfs in the foot with penalties this sunday at Denver. It appears we did a much better job of not having stupid
penalties from the 2nd qtr last week vs SD.
Ironically, thats when are offense started to jell also.....

We did manage not to have the most yardage lost due to penalties last week. We need to cut down on the stupid penalities every week. Used to be the raiders that had the reputation for penalties.

Where is all the discipline Gun promised us when he took the job? He was supposed to sweat all that crap out of them in training camp.

How many penalties in EVERY game? I think the number has declined since game one, but the way refs call games today, penalties are as common as first downs and change of possesions...They determine those too...

Currently we are tied for number 3 in most penalties this season with 23. Yet, we are 12th in yardage, which means that a lot of our penalties of the 5 yard mental errors like offsides and false starts.

Can't do too much about Dan Williams and Chester jumping the gun, it happens too often but I'll pass by it for now. On the other hand I wish the Chiefs would assign one of the gomers standing on the sidelines the task of counting the number of players on the field, each & every down. Seems like we've had at least 3 penalties this year for having 10 or 12 players on the field. Not acceptable.

The other penalty that I find hard to condone is our all-too-common 'delay of game'. Seems to me that it shouldn't take 19 seconds to relay the message 'run it up the middle on 3rd and long' and let 'em break the huddle. If Raye can't relay his pearls of wisdom in a prompt manner, if Elvis can't watch the clock, at least assign the job to that un-named gomer who's supposed to count the players on the field.

Did anyone notice how quickly Chet was out of his stance in the SD game. His first-step was right on the snap. Kind of reminded me of DT (RIP). It looked like he could have been called for several offsides but I guess he had it timed just right.

BTW, anyone have any news on Bob Karmelowicz (DL coach)?
