I mentioned in another thread that not a lot is said about mahomes playing high school basketball. To me, he runs like a point guard. There's no tackling in basketball. And mahomes has a lot of really subtle moves and quick bursts to dodge defenders instead of going through them. You don't see him juking or stutter stepping a lot like lamar.

He would have been a mid-major D1 basketball recruit as it was, and who knows how good he would have been if he focused his energy on that. Behind baseball and football, it was his 3rd sport.

I could see him being a lock down perimeter defender.
