Bills fans acknowledge hopelessness after watching SB

Porn posted in the predawn hours after the Chiefs victory in SBLVII. They also have a 100 post Zayne Anderson thread and dreams of poaching Wylie and Neon Deon Bush

Buffalo's window is already closing before they won anything and they don't have a Veach-like GM to effectively draft and build a roster around Josh Allen's contract.

Sucks to be them.

I don't think it's as big of an effect on a defense. If you look at all of the great defenses, they have great talent. Period. Defense is a more visceral thing.

Even the Bears 46 defense was named after a safety (Fencik, I think it was?), and worked primarily because of 1)a dominant pass rush and 2) the particular abilities of specific players. Same with the Tampa 2. Same with the 2000 Ravens. It goes on, and on.

The Bills defense looked really good until Von Miller got hurt and other injuries piled up.

Frazier knows they're not going to be as good this year, and if they tank, it hurts his career opportunities.
I thought it was called a 46 defense because it had 4 down lineman but 6 on the LOS (with the 2 LBs coming down to the line and a safety backfilling into the LB corps).

The window is open as long as they have an elite, healthy QB. They will need to draft better moving forward.

He was actually right. It was named after a player. It was Doug Plank.

Oh I wasn't arguing with him - I just didn't realize the history of it.

Buddy Ryan...different dude.

Except Josh Allen is going to run himself into an early retirement with his "I can run over people " mentality. And one of these days when he tries to hurdle over a defensive guy who stands up in the middle of his leap he will get.hurt.

Not sure I would call him elite either. Until he has stats like Mahomes, he is just a distant second.

Rousseau is actually a solid young player though. He had 8 sacks last year. The problem is the other guys ****ing suck.

Isn't Karlaftis a perfect example of what I was talking about?

Nice self-own!

Remember when Veach made moves with 23$ in cap space, then followed up the next season with a full offensive line over haul? **** its good to be a Chiefs fan right now. Watching other franchises enter a tailspin.

I reserve Elite for guys who deserve it....you know, guys who have won their division consistently.....been in at least 4 AFCG....3 Super Bowls and winning 2 of them...2 time League MVP.....2 time Super Bowl MVP....

Elite truly means the best of the best....

Come talk to me about Allen when he has even half of that.

No it doesn't. Elite literally means 'a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group'.

The term to describe what you stated above is transcendent.

We’ll see how long Allen can stay healthy. He is elite. They have one good receiver and a bunch of JAG’s across the rest of their offensive roster. But they have a Top 3 scoring offense the last 3 seasons.

Allen is carrying a large burden on his shoulders given that they use him so much in the running game. Buffalo coach & GM should develop a more traditional run game so Allen can avoid punishment on his body.

You guys don't understand how enticing it is to run him when you need 3 yards.

It takes a tremendous amount of discipline to not take the easy route over and over.

The only way I would call a designed run for Allen is if the game is on the line in the playoffs. He needs to adapt and use his movements to buy time and throw.

Or slide/get out of bounds. He takes a lot of unnecessary punishment for a gain of a few yards.
