George Pickens posting "Free Me" on IG story

Also supposedly deleted all Steelers content. Unfollowed teammates, coach, and the Steelers page.

If nobody caught it last night, everybody was very happy for Diontae Johnson finally scoring a TD (hasn't since Dec of 2021), and they showed him on the sidelines sulking like a little bitch.

This dude is obviously VERY talented, but he's a ****ing headcase.

Should have kept Gannon over Grbac.

Or do you think he'd be saying "free me" if he was playing with Mahomes? What would his numbers look like if he had Mahomes rather than Pickett and Trubuski. He already has 1000 now with 2 games left with them. You think he'd already have 1300 here?

And plus, Skyy and Toney are already risking Mahomes health by putting him in a position to have to maybe make tackles so it's not like that factor has been solved by not drafting Pickens
Except I am not defending Moore or Toney.

You're saying that either way the pick would have been terrible whether it was Moore or Pickens. You'd have to defend Moore and his "good" qualities in comparison to Pickens' to make a statement like that.

McNabbs reputation was never the same after TO lit that place on fire. But I guess it was worth it because they made a Super Bowl? I don’t think so. It doesn’t have to be a choice between a shit WR like skyy and a shit attitude like Pickens.

Pickens was mouthing off a few games into his rookie year. So his attitude would be no different if he played for Reid.

No shit. His mouth and attitude would have come out eventually even in a Reid coached team and a Mahomes/Kelce run the locker room.

This board loves playing hindsight. Veach crushes the draft that is one of the best Chiefs drafts in a really long time and this board is bitching about the 1 pick he got wrong in that draft

Who in their right mind is comparing the two?

I’m talking about one WR who single-handedly destroyed the locker room of the HOF coach who happens to lead our team. Reid isn’t tomlin who takes in shit attitudes and turns them around. The reason he doesn’t have broken locker rooms is because he avoids them. He said so directly when asked years ago if he’d ever bring back desean Jackson.

You know what he did with shady McCoy and leveon bell? He took them behind the barn and blasted him. He doesn’t put up with that shit. If tomlin goes with the guy that makes me feel good about our decision to pass, even if skyy was a lousy pick

rashee rice is a rare exception of rookies Reid played a lot. And it took 3/4 of the season to get there.

It would have been comical to see Pickens try to gripe about his rookie snap count on his socials. And he sure as shit would never accept a WR who doesn’t block. These are 2 things we know with absolute certainty about Andy Reid. Recipe for disaster.

And they also give him praise on the picks he hit on. Why are you so sensitive about talking about the misses?

Except that I don’t. Both are poor choices. I don’t have to defend Moore at all. Pickens had a cruddy attitude in college and the NFL, but it would have been different here according to you. He would have been a proverbial Jerry Rice or Calvin Johnson if only he had Mahomes. The guy made business decisions and chose not to block on one play and was called out in another game for lack of effort. Rumors swirl that he doesn’t like to practice hard either. If true that says even more. But blame the QB, team, and everyone but him.

So again, worst case scenario is that Pickens has a shitty attitude but is still productive like he is with the Steelers or likely even more....but because of his attitude, Reid has to "take him behind the barn and blast him", aka trade him?

Oh no! Better to have Skyy!

No I don't know if it would have been different. But the production would have been different. Skyy misses blocks all the time. Add to the missed routes, missed catches. Etc.

I'd rather give a chance with the player who's actually a good football player but might have an attitude problem rather than the guy who provides absolutely nothing. At least with one, if you get sick of him you can trade him and get picks.
