You are right! I liked the potential that I saw today. Elvis is still making dumb mistakes, and there were too many dropped balls.

Glad I found this BB because of the positive comments concerning the game. If anyone watched the other 3 AFC West teams today they can see that we do have potential and isn't it better to be positive
Hope we continue to improve and take advantage of the potential our players have. GO CHIEFS |

I liked what Grbac did today aside from the INT. Raye clearly didn't understand that Indy was fucousing on TG. What happened to splitting him out, creating mismatches? EG got it done on that last drive too. Yes that last one was bad, but the Alexander pass was as perfect as you could ask for.

Seems to me Elvis has got to quit trying to hard when we need something to happen. He did the same thing in Tampa last year but the one good thing that came out of this is that he came back and played better. This is a team effort and when DA dropped that pass in the end zone which would have pulled the Chiefs within 3 I was really upset. Hopefully Morris will get better and better the more he and Elvis play together and it was the 3rd game last year before Gonzo really began to shine. IT IS GOING TO GET BETTER>

Also, EG didn't do that silly spin move to the right once! He stepped up in the pocket and put a lot of passes where they should be. If they need to be better than that, maybe our WR's are as good as everyone thinks. They have to make plays to.

Elvis looked fired up to me. That's one thing people have been ripping him in the past for lacking. On his INT:
"That's one of the plays I wish I could take back. Obviously, being in position on the field, we couldn't turn the ball over. They came with what we call a dime blitz and they dropped the end off the backside. It was really, probably, the first time they did that in the game. I was trying to buy some time for Derrick (Alexander) to come across and Tony (Gonzalez) to develop on the play and I knew I had a blitz coming from the front side and I tried to move away from it a little bit. Cornelius (Bennett) got my arm and I was just one of those plays I wish I could have gotten the ball off a little quicker and it was just unfortunate that we got took all the way back." Tony G on the drops: Q: Why so many dropped balls today? A: "I couldn't tell you that. Nobody means to drop the ball. It happens. We're all human, but we got to make those catches. I think this team has enough pride and the receivers on this team have enough pride. I know I do. There was a couple of balls that I should have caught. We just got to work on it in practice this week and come out and get it back next week." Gun on the drops: I was disappointed that we had some drops on the offensive side. I lost count at about five of them. One of them was dropped for a touchdown, which could have put us right back into it and that makes it difficult.
