I was listening to the Dan Patrick show on ESPN Radio and he said that Mia Hamm, who was scheduled to be a guest today on his show, had kicked some field goals for the Chiefs including a couple of 50 yarders. I didn't get a chance to hear the interview so I don't know if he was just joking or what.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

It is true. She did it at Arrowhead before the season began. I heard she actually was kicking them with both legs.

DArtgod,

This was in the KC Star when the women played at Arrowhead a few weeks back. I think she also kicked a couple of 30 yarders right and left footed. (I am not totally sure on that).

She shrugged it off as to being able to do it when guys are coming at you would be a different thing.

I wish the Chiefs would give her a chance.

Imagine being able to actually lust after a player. We'd probably be able to understand Denise better.

I've kicked a 40-yarder off of a tee before! PUH-LEASE PEOPLE!!!

Ahhh, That's a relief! I'm sure she can kick just fine, but game situations are something different. Just ask Pete.

Mark - I liked it as well, just didn't comment. Though I'm upset that the women taking off the shirt after winning really didn't take off like I had hoped, of course Anna Kornakova(Yeah, butchered that spelling) has yet to win a tournement, so there is hope...

I'd pay to see Mia kick field goals for the Chiefs! Let's see if she can outdo Stoyo!

On the Dan Patrick Show she said that she hit a 50 yarder but she she lined up 10 yards away. She said with the way kickers line up 3 step back and 2 over that she could not kick a 50 yarder "35-40 probably" she said (which is better than Stoyo right now).

Said also said that she would have no desire to play in NFL because "the guys are so big. You have a guy 6'6 running a 4.5 40. They are tremndous athletes and there is no way I would get in there".

But the line of the day by Shawn Salisbury guest hosting for Dibble said that she could have played for the Raider last year. lol
