You should be able to swap disks. Nero is shite. Just retry, I guess.

If I were you I'd just copy the .VOB files off the DVD you want to copy, then burn a new DVD from those .VOBs.

Nero fuggs up on me all the time. Try it a 2nd time. And usually copyright protection is shitty on movies. I burn them all the time (for legal reasons, as in backing up my library .

Use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD onto your hard drive as VOBs. This will remove all copy protection and create perfectly usable VOB's on your hard drive. If it's an actual ful lengh movie though, most would have to be compressed some because it will not fit onto a standard 4.5GB DVD+R media. You can find many guides for this at www.doom9.org

One of the easiest Programs to use on Doom9 is DVD shrink, and it basically uses nero to burn the DVD.

Man this is turning into a nightmare, my last attempt to burn crashed my system and I had to go through the dreaded disk check to get it up and running again. I'm headed over to Doom9 and check it out. I owe you all rep.

Hell yea..DVD shrink is the way to go. If you have to use compression, I recommend you use "deep analysis mode" in options. It takes longer, but improves video quality.
