Garcia's Playmate girlfriend, ex face off in assault trial

Accusations flew like footballs when onetime rivals for the heart of Browns quarterback Jeff Garcia faced off in court Monday.

Carmella DeCesare, 22, reigning Playboy Playmate of the Year and Garcia's love interest, is on trial in Cleveland Municipal Court for misdemeanor assault, accused of attacking the QB's ex- girlfriend in August at a Warehouse District dance club.


The professed victim in the case, Kristen Hine, 32, testified that Garcia took her out on four or five dates last summer. Then he dropped her for De Cesare.

But it was not a clean and easy split. Nasty phone calls were exchanged among the three. Rumors were spread about Garcia. Threats and accusations were left on voice mail. The feud erupted Aug. 21 at Tramp nightclub, where DeCesare, of Westlake, had accompanied Garcia and teammates Melvin Fowler and Ross Verba.

They were celebrating a 17-10 preseason victory that evening over the Detroit Lions.

When Hine arrived at the faux burlesque club, which bills itself as the place for "Naughty Fun," she and DeCesare called each other names. A friend of Hine's doused DeCesare with a drink. Each had to be restrained.

Hine said she tried to walk away. As she walked toward the exit, however, DeCesare had other plans. Two of Hine's friends testified they saw DeCesare grab a dance pole for support and karate-kick Hine in the head.

"All of a sudden my head snapped back," Hine said. "I didn't see her actually kick me, but when I looked she was being pulled away."

Hine, at first, told police she was not hurt by the kick. But she testified Monday that the blow caused her neck pain that has worsened in the months since. She consulted two lawyers and hired a private investigator, but has not filed a civil suit against DeCesare.

Assistant City Prosecutor Bruce Imbacuan called DeCesare "an angry, jealous and vindictive woman" who was drunk when she attacked Hine. Imbacuan cited at least four instances where DeCesare threatened to beat up or kill Hine that night and before. He also accused DeCesare of violating a temporary protective order for refusing to leave a nightclub in the Flats where Hine was drinking with friends.

Defense lawyer Patrick D'Angelo, in opening statements to Judge Anita Laster Mays, scoffed at Hine's accusations. He painted Hine as a veteran bar-hopper with a penchant for seeking out and befriending professional athletes. He called her a vindictive conspirator bent on revenge against Garcia and DeCesare.

"Carmella was minding her own business that night," D'Angelo said. "She had a drink thrown in her face because she had the gall to be out with Jeff Garcia."

In his cross-examination of Hine, D'Angelo questioned whether her injuries were caused by DeCesare. He produced medical records that seemed to indicate Hine suffered from chronic degenerative neck disease and painful arthritis a year before the episode at the nightclub.

"There is one simple truth to this case," D'Angelo said. "There was not one mark on Miss Hine. She was not struck or injured in any way, shape or form."

Garcia and Fowler waited outside the courtroom prepared to testify Monday, but were not called.

The non-jury trial is expected to take another day or two, after which Laster Mays will deliver her verdict.

Although it would be hard not to notice this thing.

Well, it was most efficient with 8 wench rats, but it was successfully banging as many as 12 rats in one cage, they all got pregnant producing litters of 12 each, for a gross(144) brand new pinkie rats.

And so it went, num nutz was siring ratones by the hundreds for nearly a year and a half.

Eventually, age took its toll on the poor guy, his eyes glazed over and his back legs got paralyzed and his nuts were no longer the only thing dragging behind. Too bad we didn't have Cialis back then.
