Anyone out there using Symantec Ghost 9.0 ??
I have Nortons System Works Premier 05 and it came with Ghost 9.0 and I installed it onto my computer ... I have made an image of my drive for re-imaging from another hard drive in my computer where the image is at but I have ONE MAJOR PROBLEM... the System Works CD will NOT boot into ghost recovery and that is what Ghost tells me to use to get into the recovery console to reimage my machine.
Symantec Customer support SUCKS and now tell me it is a faulty CD and that I have to purchase a replacement. WTF... Since all I need is a bootable Ghost 9.0 CD I was wondering if anyone out there has a Ghost 9.0 CD that you could burn off or send me and ISO so I can burn my own. If Symantec Ghost 9.0 standalone disk is like my System Works Premier the CD is usless without the activation Key and I don't need that ... I just need a BOOTABLE Ghost 9.0 CD so I can get into the recovery console to reimage my machine. If anyone out there can help me out please let me know and what it will take to get me a bootable Ghost 9.0 CD. Thanks to anyone in advance for thier time responding to this! Did you make sure to escalate as far up the management chain as possible?
If I had a copy I would set you up, but I don't. |

1 - Norton sucks.
2 - If you need it, download it.

BUT.... Ghost 9 uses the file extention .v2i and Ghost 2003 and Ghost 8.0 use .gho or alike. I used the Ghost 8 recovery and when I got it to at least see the Ghost 9 image by using *.* in the drop down box for file types, IT FOUND the File I was trying to see but said it was NOT a valid file type for that version of Ghost. So NO I don't think older versions of Ghost are going to help me out! So I am back to square 1 and I still need a bootable Ghost 9.0 CD. Thanks guys for the effort Cliff rxrider@hotmail.com |
