Not sure what kind of logos you're talking about, but $40 sounds pretty reasonable.

Do you own the copyrights?
Would you mind passing the info along to me- I'm looking for a logo for my company name. Thanks.

All copyrights are yours. The copyright law on the matter treats this as a "work for hire." That means if you've paid for it to be made, or commissioned it, it's yours. Quote:

Beware the old saying "you get what you pay for".
One explanation for the incredibly cheap prices, is that will all the "trade schools" who are churning out graphic designers, there is a glut, and many end up working for slave wages for other people doing stuff like this (It's more fulfilling than running the copy machine at Kinko's). I'll bet there are several kids competing on a logo project, and the artist who's design they pick get $10 while who ever runs the site, gets the other $30. They may also be using "clip art" logos which are readily available for a real cheap price which they just use over and over again for the different clients who come along. I'm not familiar with this particular site, so I don't know for sure, but many are run as described. I'm not bagging on these sites, they are just taking advantage of a market situation, but I thought you might want to know. I'll be interested to see what happens if you are not happy with any of the designs. |

Well, I was really quite impressed.
Here's what they came up with... they guaranteed 4, I got 7. |

They are all pretty decent, although they lack variety. You should set up a vote thread.
I like 3 and 5 the best.

I like #4 with a few changes... using the font from picture #2... and changing that white part of the lens behind the monkey... with the monkey scratching his head.
Also have them put www.bluemonkeyfilms.com under neath the filmstrip area. That would look tight I think. |
