THE OFFICIAL "LJ IS NOT BETTER THAN PRIEST THREAD!"

I am blown away with how absolutely fantastic LJ has looked and I am surprised that Priest has not gotten more yards but NO WAY would I bench Priest and start LJ like it has been suggested. Priest would have gone 97 yards if he got the hand off as well.

LJ is most definitely a starting caliber RB but Priest has most definitely earned his spot.

Priest would have been lucky to make midfield.

People laugh when I write this but its true...its always been true. Priest gets stuffed alot. There is no stat for this I have seen. Even at this best when he is breaking huge runs...getting TDs and what not...the guy gets stuffed on in amazing amount of plays.

Just say'n

Barry could rip off long-ass TD runs. Priest is lucky to get a 30-yard run.

If LJ doesn't touch the ball 150 times this year, we're stupid.

All of you are stupid to think Priest would have gotten caught where LJ didn't. Priest ran down a Texan DB last year when he int'ed Trent at the goal line. Priest tried to get the ball and he scored anyway but don't tell me he's not fast. The bottom line is that Holmes has not had much playing time this pre season and LJ has. Alot of you have forgotten how explosive he is since he missed half the season last year.

LJ is looking very very good but benching Holmes would be insane, he's brought our running game out of the middle ages. If he ever looses his job it had better be during the regular season.

I'm not talking about benching Holmes. Not even close.

But LJ NEEDS the ball. I don't trust Saunders to give LJ the rock when Priest is healthy.

Priest is not exceptionally fast. This is not an insult to Priest. It is just a fact. Priest could not have outran the entire Seattle secondary. LJ is much faster then him. LJ is faster then most of the skill players in the NFL.

Also, I am not talking about quickness, I am talking about pure speed. Priest has great acceleration, burst, and vision that allows him to exploit the smallest hole or weakness. One thing he does not have is exceptional speed. He has not had a run over 40 yards in several seasons.

Priest has over 1600 rushing attempts in his career. Only 3 went for more than 50 yards.

Priest would have been caught without a doubt....no way he outruns Marcus Trufant(one of the fastest players in the NFL)....LJ has that unigue combination of size & speed which Priest doesn't possess.

Don't get me wrong....Priest is a all-everything RB, but LJ has earned some major playing time this year.
