where did all those quick slants come from?

we ran more yesterday than i think we have in the last 5 years.

I was surprised by that as well. Horn did a good job at putting himself out there and while picking up some yards before getting plastered in the middle. I'll bet the jets didn't figure those slants into their gameplan. Good playcalling Al.

I'm pretty sure they had that in mind with Trent's little medical procedure he had. Take a two step drop, and get the ball out of there. They really need to think about keeping that play handy. That, and the flea-flicker. I love the flea-flicker.

Good point. I guess when you put speedsters like Kennison and Parker on the field together but need tremendous safety support to stop Holmes and Johnson, you better back your corners off some. However, the Chiefs also ran slants with Chris Horn who is not known for speed. Whatever the reason I sure like it, it's an easy 7-8 yards every time.
