It's amazing that he's still playing. This is his 14th year in the league.
Interesting Dale Carter stats: Chiefs - 7 seasons (1992-1998) 401 tackles, 21 interceptions, and 6 forced fumbles (not to mention two punt return touchdowns) Average: 57.3 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1.2 fumble returns Other teams - 7 seasons (1999-2005) - Broncos (2 seasons, one of which was a full-year suspension), Vikings (1 season), Saints (2 seasons), Ravens (2 seasons, counting this one) - 163 tackles, 3 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles Average (over the five full active non-suspended seasons): 32.6 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles It seems like we let him go at exactly the right time.

Didn't we use Dale Carter as a WR at one point as well?

He returned punts, played CB, lined up at WR, returned some kickoffs, and even has a couple of career rushing attempts (probably on reverses, I bet).
If he had remained with one team, kept himself in shape, and not had the off-field issues, he could have been a legitimate Hall of Fame candidate. If he had maintained his pace for the Chiefs over the past seven years, he'd be an 8-time pro bowler with 42 interceptions.

What's up with your sig? Trent Green should be one of the last guys to pin the SD loss on. Carr wouldn't have done better at all; watch how he's playing with no pass protection right now in Houston. I'm all for Carr ressurecting himself in KC, but Green is our man right now, and can continue to be.

14 years in the league is pretty impressive but doesn't that get him 2nd place tonight. I see Deion Sanders is suited up at age 38.
