Who gives a chit what other teams do?

I know all this postulating and theorizing is fun, but quite frankly I could give one of my rats asses about whether Denver wins out, or San Diego Beats Denver, or Cinci rests, or Chad Johnson takes a shit on the field after his next touchdown.

The Chiefs control their destiny. Dallas is a playoff game for us, if we take care of our business, and not worry about all the excess bullsheets, then we will be in the playoffs. As us Chief fans know, what goes down in that one playoff game, is all that matters. Frankly, we haven't done too well at home playoff games, so I don't care about homefield, I just want us going in on a roll, like running the table against playoff caliber opponents, healthy, and ready to keep on kicking some ass against some front running team that rested their players and is ripe for an upset.

Keep fuggin doubting our improved D, that is our trump card. I believe it is getting better each week, and with the addition of Sims should be getting even better.

Rock on.

Now lets focus on Dallas. Round 4 of OUR playoff run.

I can root for the Chiefs this week, as well as cleveland and baltimore and chicago and Miami.

It's not like I'm a player that must stay focused on the game at hand :|

Although we do control our own destiny, it would be nice to see Denver, SD and Jax all lose this week. Of course controlling our own destiny means we beat SD and knock them out.

I'll quit posting this kind of stuff since it is upsetting you and you have no ability to keep yourself from opening and reading those threads.

BTW, I hate to tell you this, but even if the Chiefs win out, if you'd like to win the division and have a first round bye, it does matter what Denver does. And if we end up tied with Denver, it matters what the Giants, Eagles, Bengals, Bills, Dolphins, Texans, Ravens and Jags do.

First, the Chiefs and the next 3 are the opponents of Denver, Oakland and San Diego respectively.

True, but I have enough stresses in my life, I would just as well sweat the games I care about, and screw the rest.

Its like my little bro is in the HS championship game for our section Div I here in Sac Joaquin section. I honestly don't know who played in the other half of the bracket and don't care. They kept taking care of their business, I keep going to the games each week to cheer him on.

Sure I pull for them, but I don't get the juice that I do from sweating the game I care about each week. I don't even invest the time to sweat a Denver, or Oakland game if the Chiefs aren't in it. Maybe a quarter or two, if the Chiefs aren't on at that time.

Well, no sweat, but definately root for them to lose. Ive found it quite nice that since KC was in the AFC west, most of the time, Denver/Oak/SD play at 4pm where the majority of KC games came on at 1pm so I could see both.

Im with you, though, I dont get as emotionally involved, but it's better than watching SF vs. New Orleans at 4pm or something similar.

No doubt about it. I grew up watching 9ers games that I wasn't all to thrilled to be watching, only to hope that Brent Muskberger would cut in with a positive Chiefs news.

Pre satellite days.

Maybe on the last week of the season and a particular team has to win to get us in, then absolutely am fully vested in the outcome, but until then, ""these are but mere shadows of things to come." I couldn't resist the Christmas Carol reference, forgive me.
