I owe everybody a drink. Sig Severson, 1918-2006. Parents came over on the boat, didn't speak any English 'til he was 12 . Did what ever he had to do to raise a happy healthy family in Iowa. Incredible sense of humor. Loved to fish and tell lies.

I'll miss him.

I'm actually pretty good. I just didn't see the years posted. Heh.

My own Gramps was 78 when he died. He'd have been nearly 90 today. BC is several years older than me, so I made an assumption. Heh.

My mom was the second oldest of six, and I am my mom's oldest, so Sig was 43 when I was born, same age I'll be later this year.

I'd join you in a drink, but I didn't read this until now. My employer frowns upon showing up to work with liquor on the breath. 88 years is a pretty good run. Sounds like he made his run better than most.
