Whitner's not a good fit if we're going to be playing cover 2.
Edwards would be a 'potential' pick. He's not going to be able to make an impact right away. I kinda like Babatunde. Don't think he'll ever be a big time player, but he should be good at doing the one thing asked of him; take up space. He's very intelligent. But again, if we're going to be playing cover 2, he doesn't fit. Cover 2 is successful with smaller DTs who can get into the backfield. A perfect DT for that would be Brodrick Bunkley. |

I'm assuming that cover 2 will stay on the back burner as long as Gunt remains the DC.
How would these guys fit in Gunt's scheme?

Whitner fits it the best, although Oshinowo and Edwards could still play in it.

Whitner would be a good pick if we're gonna let him attack. He might struggle in a Cover 2, as Holmezz suggested.
Babatunde is big, and that's about it. He's got virtually no football experience, so he could end up being another Siavii. |

Are there motivation issues for Babatunde similiar to Siavii's?

I wouldn't mind taking a Qb in the 3rd, especially if Croyle is still available. Whitehurst could probably be had a little later but he seems solid too. Having one of them on the bench to learn from Trent would be a great thing and at the very least an improvement in our depth at the position.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer-Donte Whitner ran a 4.39 in training.

How about Hank Baskett in the 3rd. Big WR 6'4 220. Doesn't have great speed, but that's what Samie is for. Baskett is a great run blocker, will open up those long runs for LJ.
