we trading Fujita to the cowboys for 2 draft picks and could now pick him up as a free agent.

sounds like a good trade to me.

Fujita got a raw deal when he was traded to the Cowboys. I'd sign him up again unless Carl has totally burnt his bridges with Scott, and this seems very likely.

What Husky4506 said. How did Baker get a 38.9 net last year? He couldn't even gross that for us.

Is Davenport a halfback, or could he be the heir to Tony R. at fullback? He's a big, mobile guy, isn't he?

If Baker is such a steal, why is he going on 6 teams in 6 years?

Davenport is too good to be a FB. He'd be a great RB for a team that likes to pound it. Kind of a Jerome Bettis or Stephen Davis type of back.

I would love love love LOVE to see us bring back Fujita. I think he'd be a great backup and might even compete for that WLB spot.

I would too, the more capable LB's we have the better. There are no guarantees about the spot opposite DJ. Fox has the ability but is he completely recovered from his injury? God knows how Gun will use Bell this year and Griffin is unproven. He might be pissed Boomer took his number though.

He might be...we need another WR, however. We can't draft wideouts to save our lives. Then again, we can't draft period!

Unfortunately neither is going to happen:

Cowboys | Team only has to surrender one draft pick for Fujita from 2005 trade
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 16:05:51 -0800

Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports to acquire LB Scott Fujita last year from the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys gave up a sixth-round pick in 2006 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2007, but he did not meet certain playing-time requirements last season to make the Cowboys give up that pick too.

Saints | Fujita's deal is for four years
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 14:52:22 -0800

NewOrleansSaints.com reports New Orleans Saints LB Scott Fujita's new deal with the Saints is for four years. No financial terms were disclosed.
