Trent to Retire! MAYBE?

I know the reports say that he is only out two games, but it looks like he will pull a PH and be out all year then retire. It is going to be hard to find a doctor to release him after the severe head trauma.

This is all MAJOR speculation-but I thought you guys should know how serious the guy is hurt. A good friend at work is going through some medical problems and has the same set of doctors as Trent-apparently his Mom is a nurse in the office.

Trent has had bleeding and swelling of the brain and loss of feeling in his limbs. Not to mention the headaches. His family wants him to retire, but you know how TG is. This was one of the worst hits I have seen, and when it happened I thought he was done for good-well it looks like he might be.

Yes this is another-my friends moms boss thing-so I am praying it is bad info. So don't jump my butt for posting this-the point is-everyone in Trents camp but him-think he is done.

Another option is the PUP list the rest of the year and try to make a comeback next year. But like I said I hope this is bad info-but this guy is a HUGE Chiefs fan and he would not talk a bunch of shit-he was pretty bummed about the news. So believe what you want?

You think MAYBE in the title would have clued you in. I swear you guys jump on anything without a link-like the news never lies, speculates, and prints bad info?

People have been going back and forth if TG will retire, all based on IMO a smoke screen from Carl and BS from the papers. I thought folks might want to know what I heard-thats all. I think it is a better info than what is out there.

The problem is that the title should be "Trent to retire? Maybe!" not "Trent to retire! Maybe?"

Given they are financially secure and that he is already near the tail end of his career anyway I would be very surprised if her voice of reason doesn't win out.

WHAT?? Friend of a friend-where is the link??? LIAR pants on fire, METHHEAD!!!!! LOL

Thought I would beat the crowd.

I think you are right-its not like we have a chance at anything this year. I mean why come back and risk it?? TG has nothing to prove.

Most of them probably know that I will just tell them to bite me....

You should probably be ashamed of yourself for even starting a football related thread...I believe that is why you were attacked as only threads about Screech Powers slong, negative rep crying and other worthless non-football stuff is welcome on this board anymore.

Q: You talked about down the road the possibility of irreversible damage, have you given any though about retirement?

GREEN: “No, I have not. I am a very positive person and try to take the best. I don’t even want to answer that one, because the people that have brought it up, right now that’s not in my plans, that’s not the plans that I have been told and with the support of my wife and kids, they know this is what I do and what I love doing. As long as I am honest with them and know that I’m not going to put my next 50-60 years in jeopardy then they are all for me in coming back. As far as ending my career, that’s definitely not in the conversation.”

I take this at face value. I guess anyone could say that he's just fooling himself, and can't admit that he's through, but then isn't that more speculation? Where I can say, has Trent thought about retiring? No, he hasn't. Case closed.

That being the key statement...Convincing a wife that just saw you get your head splattered and put in the hospital that you aren't jeopardizing your future will be a very tough sell. It will take multiple doctors willing to say that he is 100% with no ill-effects for that to get sold....Probably not many MD's willing to say that especially this year given they will always heavily side with caution for the patients sake and for the CYA when it comes to malpractice suits.

Yep and you guys just about ran Rexjake off the board for his TY LAW thread. My Tamba thread proved right-just as you guys were changing the thread title and bitching about it being made up BS. I don't give a shit if you believe it or not.

Trent is the only one that truely knows how bad it was-everything else is speculation.

Right now, all we have are speculation and rumors.

I don't take anything that Carl, or the Chiefs organization, says at face value, but neither do I give rumor any credence.

This "Football threads aren't welcome" is just BS.

Nevermind the "patient confidentiality act".
Even if you have that information, you could get your mom fired.

Good lord Milk have a sense of humor...Just making fun of the fact that this board has largely gone to majority non-football garbage.
