They can't forcibly search it until they have a warrant. However they may be able to impound the vehicle until they get one.

If there's pot smoke rolling out the windows they're going to arrest you. Then they have the right to search your car whether you like it or not.

I've been pulled over and/or ticketed at least 20 times in my life, and at no time, even was I was young, has a cop ever asked to search my car.

Perhaps there's something to be said for keeping one's car clean, and not looking like a fucking dirtbag.

the only way they could arrest you is if you have anything on you or if you are driving or the keys are in the ignition...like i said if you are stationary and you are hot boxing your car/truck/van but you swallow the joint or blunt, what are they going to arrest you for?

yea if there is smoke pouring out the car then your fogged(unless you've smoked all the evidence and your not driving just stationary with no keys in ignition)...or even if your vehicle smells like ms. jane they have probable cause(ive had my car searched for it smelling like it)
