I did my $50 redraft league last Sunday. I had the 7th overall pick and drafted the following team...
QB Mark Bulger Vince Young RB Frank Gore Reggie Bush Kevin Jones Brandon Jackson Adrian Peterson Mike Bell WR Larry Fitzgerald Andre Johnson Plaxico Burress Santonio Holmes TE Vernon Davis Kicker Jeff Wilkins LB Keith Bullock DB Adrian Wilson We have 1pt per reception so I think I made out well with Bush and Gore as my starters. |

Did my first of 2 drafts yesterday afternoon. We pony up $25 at the start, overall best record gets $100, playoff champ gets $100, second gets $30 and 3rd $20. There are 10 teams. One thing you should know is that we give quarterbacks 6 points for TD passes. I don't really understand why so many leagues diminish the value of hte most important player on the field. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, D/ST, K and have 5 bench positions. I am the commissioner and I drafted 9th, serpentine.
QB - Palmer (rd 1) QB - Delhomme (rd 11) RB - Bush (rd 2) RB - James (rd 4) RB - McAllister (rd 5) RB - Cadillac Williams (rd 10) WR - Tory Holt (rd 3) WR - Braylon Edwards (rd 7) WR - Joey Galloway (rd 8) WR - Santana Moss (rd 9) TE - Gonzalez (rd 6) TE - Graham (14) K - Gostkowski (12) D/ST - Dallas (13) Overall, I think I had an average draft. I had trouble with the Bush pick. It was between him and Travis Henry, and I refuse to root for a Bronco. I know it's counterintuitive toward the overall goal of winning, but it would seriously take some of hte joy out of it for me. He had a nice season last year, but not a #1 RB season. I'm taking a gamble that he'll bust loose this year. I think I jumped for Braylon Edwards but I needed to load up on WR at that point and I like his skill set if he can stay healthy. Gonzo was the second TE taken. Gates went in the 4th round so I felt I had waited long enough. Like QB's after those top 3 or 4 it's pretty lame and in a head to head league, tight ends make big differences when you are consistently winning that matchup. I had a tough time deciding between him and Shockey, but went with my heart. Edge was the best RB available in the 5th round and I wanted Deuce as a bookend to Bush. I may start both of them some weeks. I had Cadillac last year in my other league, but he was my second round pick and that completely screwed me. I think he'll have a better year this than last. Yahoo! ranks him 38 and I got him with a pick somewhere in the 100's. I thought that's pretty good value for your #4 RB. Delhomme I got because he has a decent matchup during Palmer's bye week (@ NO) and I'm not 100% sold on their running game either. Kickers and D's are crap shoots after the top 2 or 3 anyway. I'll probably end up dropping either or both at some point. With my last pick I originally took Jason Witten, but made a mistake on that because he has the same bye as Gonzo. So my buddy was looking to take a TE with his last pick so he picked Graham for me and now we'll just trade 14th rounders.

12 man, $100 per owner, got the first pick
Starters: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST QB: Vince Young (R6), Farve (R10) RB: LT (R1), Jones-Drew (R2), Cacillac Williams (R5), Fred Taylor (R9), Warrick Dunn (R11) WR: Roy Williams (R3), Andre Johnson (R4), Braylon Edwards (R8), Devery Henderson (R13) TE: David Martin (R12) K: Josh Brown (R14) D: Patriots (R7) I really soft at TE but I'm not worried about that. I like Vince Young but thought it was important to get him backed up with a solid Vet QB. My favorite picks were Warrick Dunn, Braylon Edwards, and Devery Henderson. I think all three have a ton of upside but I didn't have to reach to grab them. |

Two of my leagues do the same 6pts and we also give 1 pt for each 25 yds passing. As for Edge I've got him too and I don't like what I've been reading, sounds as though Wisenhunt is not planning on using him around the goaline.

12 man draft, $75 entry with $5 for every waiver wire move. 14 rounds.
I picked 8th. QB's: Marc Bulger (2) J.P. Loseman (12) - good match-up for Bulgers bye week RB's: Rudi Johnson (1) Willis McGahee (3) DeShaun Foster (11) WR's: Hines Ward (6) Laverneous Coles (7) Kevin Curtis (13) TE's: Tony Gonzalez (5) Kallen Winslow (8) K's: Nate Kaeding (9) Kris Brown (14) D: New England (4) Carolina (10) I figure I can trade one of my TE's for a better WR at some point. |

Only 1 of my 2 drafts so far, this one is a $20 fun league, redraft, 12 teams, I picked 8th. Unique aspect of this league is 3 flex (RB/WR/TE) starts, plus 1 req. RB and WR/TE, and typical 1QB, 1K, 1D.
QB: Jon Kitna Chad Pennington RB: Brian Westbrook Travis Henry Lawrence Maroney Brandon Jackson Brian Leonard Adrian Peterson (Bears) WR/TE: Andre Johnson Tony Gonzalez Darrell Jackson Joey Galloway Santonio Holmes K: Josh Brown D: Eagles |

For New England, I really had my eye on them too. They'll be the Bears of this season. Probably early but I got what I was after. Talking to others in the draft I figured I wouldn't get them by the 5th round. The draft was last night. Got very loaded. The wife found be passed out on the front porch. I guess I nodded off while looking for my house keys. |

$100 I seem to make the playoffs every year. Lost in the finals last year but still made some coin. I made one big mistake in my draft this year not picking up Vince Young when I could. 12 man league.
Smith, Alex QB SF Parker, Willie RB PIT Westbrook, Brian RB PHI Moss, Randy WR NE Wayne, Reggie WR IND Gates, Antonio TE SD Vinatieri, Adam K IND Eagles, DST DST PHI Roethlisberger, Ben QB PIT Green, Ahman RB HOU Taylor, Chester RB MIN Pollard, Marcus TE SEA
